Anthea Caddy’s work interrogates spatial energy and its physical propagation and subsequent projection within materials. Her investigations result in installation and performance works within unusual environments that utilise specialised loudspeaker and amplification media to expand and reveal spatial phenomena within the environments we inhabit.
She has performed and exhibited in Australia, New Zealand, USA and Europe notably at, Tesla Museum, Zagreb, Liquid Architecture National Festival, Australia, Diapason Gallery, New York, Venice Music Biennial, Reina Sofia Center of Contemporary Art, Madrid, Observatori Contemporary Arts Festival, Valencia, Issue Project Room, New York, Goethe Institut, Boston, Project Space Gallery, Melbourne, Wroclaw Museum of Contemporary Art, Poland, Internationales Musikinstitut Darmstadt, Borealis, Norway, Wien Modern, Tesla Centre of Media Arts, ICA, London, Maerz Musik, Berlin and Sonic Acts Festival, Amsterdam.
Alongside her solo work Anthea has collaborated and performed with many artists, most notably with electro-acoustic pioneering composer David Behrman.
