Both listening to hip-hop and electronic music in their small hometown village in the south of France, Raphael Hénard and Maxime Denuc of Plapla Pinky started to make music together in 1999. Interested in mainstream tunes and extreme audio researches, they try to propose their own interpretation of club music.
They released their first eponymous EP, a collection of tracks made between Berlin, Paris and Toulouse on the French-Japanese label Sonore in 2011.
Their second EP Succession is the result of research in the field of baroque music. Constructed like a mixtape of their favorite tunes of the genre, this singular piece pays homage to the modernity and emotional power of that era. It was release in 2014 on the recently formed label Kuntur Records.
Their third EP will be released in 2015 and will be the result of experimentation with the organ of the Eglise du Chant dʼOiseau in Brussels, Belgium – but it will also show the influence of Rave anthems of the early nineties.
