Márton Bertók is a Budapest-based electronic instrument builder and musician, exploring the realm between organic and synthetic sounds. His primary instrument is a modified Buchla Music Easel, one of the first modular systems created for live performance. In addition to his solo work under the name “Triglav”, he is an active collaborator in Budapest’s improvised music scene.
In 2022, he started “Triglav Modular,” a project focused on designing and crafting electronic devices inspired by the West Coast instruments of the 70s.
From 2017 to 2020, he was a member of “Peasants in Atmosphere”, a conceptual folk ensemble aiming to offer an alternative to the conventional view of cultural heritage based on preservationist ideals.
