Stine Janvin is a Berlin-based Norwegian vocalist and sound artist. She works with experimental music, sound and audiovisual performance. Through a diverse range of projects and collaborations (In Labour, The Subjective Frequency Transducer, Native Instrument, Stine II), she explores and challenges the physical features of the voice, the acoustics of her external/internal surroundings and new performance strategies. At CTM Festival in January 2017, she presented “Fake Synthetic Music,” a driving imitation of melodic synthetic sequences and a tribute to past and present pioneers of electronic music and rave deconstruction. It features audiovisual illusions, in-ear tones and high-frequency exhaustion for voice, echo and spatial distribution.
