Contemporary music pianist and experimental performer based in Strasbourg. Santiago’s artistic profile is marked by researching the musician as an embodied mind and playing unconventional repertoire born from collaborations between composer and performer. As an eclectic new music artist, she performs as soloist and in chamber music groups as Ensemble Linea, L’Imaginaire, Semblance, Syntagma Piano Duo and Regrat Duo. She has performed all around Europe and USA, and she has recorded at Radio France and Ircam, where she collaborated with composer Engin Dağlık on his work ‘A light stung the darkness’. Engin Dağlık is a versatile and innovative sound artist, composer and performer whose work focuses on redefining and transforming the perception of space through sound, encouraging audiences to reimagine environments.
Carolina Santiago is an artist of the SHAPE+ platform for innovative music and interdisciplinary art, co-funded by the European Union and Pro Helvetia.
